What's blooming in Crystal River?

April - your garden should be "springing" to life! It's safe to cut away any dead branches and clear out debris from the winter.  Get those new plants in the ground to give them a head start before the summer heat arrives. Lots of things are blooming now - coreopsis, spiderwort, coral honeysuckle, Florida betony, phlox, and mock orange to name a few.

At our December meeting Rose shared tips on caring for poinsettias long after the holidays. It's safe to put those poinsettias in the ground now for holiday color next Christmas.
